Campus Biotech,
a centre of excellence and synergy hub

Founded in 2015, Campus Biotech is an interdisciplinary centre of excellence dedicated to neuroscience, neurotechnology and global and digital health. Part of the Switzerland Innovation Park network, the campus is formed of nine buildings set in just under 60,000 sqm of grounds, offering an inspiring and supportive environment for research and innovation. Its collaborative ethos fuels synergies between academic research teams, established companies and startups that share a common purpose: advancing medical science through the power of innovation.

Innovation and sustainability

Sustainability and environmental performance are at the core of Campus Biotech, reflected in both its architecture and day-to-day management.

Buildings B2 and B4: new spaces now available

Buildings B2 and B4 were designed to respond to the continued apeal of the location and the need for new office and laboratory space.

Building B2 is dedicated to office space for lease, with extensive floorplates averaging 1,000 sqm per level. Designed by Helmut Jahn, Werner Sobek and Matthias Shuler and completed in the early 2000s, its striking glass façade makes it instantly recognisable as one of Campus Biotech’s most iconic buildings.

Building B4, currently under construction, will offer cutting-edge facilities, including almost 8,800 sqm of advanced laboratories and research offices.

This state-of-the-art complex will comprise:

  • Research offices
  • Generous shared spaces geared towards work, connection and relaxation

    Building B4’s advanced scientific laboratories are divisible from 100 sqm and available in shell format or with custom fit-out. Facilities include:
    • One or two fume hoods per laboratory, each with a maximum airflow rate of 600 m3/h
    • Between 5 and 8 air changes per hour
    • Connection to central supply network for oxygen, carbon dioxide, nitrogen gas and compressed air
